Online water quality monitoring across the supply chain
Residual chlorine, turbidity, pH and conductivity measured continuously at treatment plant outlets, service reservoirs and tail-end points, logged against supply hours.
Continuous data instead of weekly grab samples
Grab sampling shows water quality at one moment and one place. Problems such as chlorine decay in long mains, turbidity spikes after filter backwash or contamination during intermittent supply happen between samples.
Nebulotix places online analysers at the points that matter, from WTP clear-water outlets to reservoirs and tail-end nodes, and logs results against flow and supply hours so operators can see cause and effect.
What is supplied
Multi-parameter analysers
Residual chlorine, turbidity, pH, conductivity and temperature, in panel-mounted or insertion form.
Sampling panels
Flow-through cells with constant-head sampling and drain for each monitoring point.
RTU and power
Logger with 4G link; mains or solar depending on location.
Alerts
Threshold and rate-of-change alerts to operators by SMS and app.
Reports
Daily and monthly compliance summaries against the applicable drinking water standard.
| Item | Typical configuration | Notes |

| Free chlorine | 0 – 5 mg/L | Amperometric or colorimetric |
| Turbidity | 0 – 100 NTU | Nephelometric |
| pH | 0 – 14 | With temperature compensation |
| Conductivity | 0 – 2,000 µS/cm | Range selectable |
| Output | 4–20 mA · Modbus | To RTU or plant SCADA |
| Communication | 4G | Data and SMS alerts |
Typical values. Final selection follows site survey, hydraulic review and the project specification.
Functions
Chlorine residual tracking
Decay from WTP to tail end, to tune dosing and booster chlorination.
Turbidity spikes
Detection after backwash, pipe bursts or source changes.
Supply-linked data
Quality logged against flow and supply hours.
Calibration records
Maintenance and calibration logged for each analyser.
Threshold alerts
Configurable limits with escalation.
Compliance reports
Exportable summaries for utility and regulator review.
Survey, supply, operate
Survey and design
Hydraulic review, instrument and valve placement, radio coverage study.
Supply and install
Field equipment installed, commissioned and tagged on GIS.
Operate and maintain
Remote monitoring, preventive maintenance and operator training through O&M.
Where should online analysers be installed?
At minimum at the WTP clear-water outlet and at representative tail-end points of each zone. Reservoir outlets and booster chlorination points are added where chlorine decay is a concern.
How often do analysers need maintenance?
Sensor cleaning and verification are typically monthly, with calibration and reagent or membrane replacement on the manufacturer's schedule. Maintenance is logged in the platform.
Can data feed into existing plant SCADA?
Yes, through 4–20 mA or Modbus outputs, alongside the Nebulotix Control Centre.
